Kitchen has washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, cooker, microwave. Large lounge/dining room with cable TV, wii games system. Computer with broadband. 1 family bathroom with shower. Au pair has own bedroom which is small but comfortable. Thatcham is a lovely quiet town with banks, supermarkets, post office, hairdressers, beauty shops etc. Plenty of local bars and restaurants. Easy travelling distance by bus/train to nearby large towns of Newbury, Basingstoke and Reading. London about 1 hour away by train., Hi there. Our current aupair is leaving in August after her year here which she has thoroughly enjoyed. Hence we will need a replacement. We have 1 little boy who is 7 in September and a massive Doctor Who fan. He is a very adorable boy who loves his au pairs and always forms a close bond with them. He is doing really well in school. He enjoys dancing/singing around the house and also likes to play his wii games and watch his DVDs. He is always happy and laughing and also loves to go out to the park to play. The hours of work vary from week to week because of our shifts. We therefore need a flexible girl who doesn`t mind having to work at weekends sometime, overnight, early or late. The number of hours per day will vary too. Sometimes it could just be a couple of hours when our shifts overrun. On rare occassions, it could be the whole day if we are both doing the same shift (this could mean 12 hours plus occassionally). We normally produce a rota about a month in advance when we know our own shifts. There will be lots of days off for the au pair. I can send some past monthly rotas so you can get an idea. Basically, if one of us is at home, she is not needed. It is not uncommon for our au pair to have 4 or 5 days off in a row. Plenty of opportunity to do their own thing and socialise with friends. The duties could be any of the following, depending on the time of working. Getting Connor up from bed, getting breakfast/lunch/simple meals. Getting ready for school. Taking to/picking up from school (15 mins walk). Getting into bath. Entertaining and playing with. Basically caring for Connor when we aren`t there. We don`t expect housework. We are not after a slave. Due to our work, there may be times when we return home later than planned and our au pair must be happy with this. We would prefer a good level of English so that we can understand each other and she understands what we want, and can communicate with Connor. There are English classes in nearby Newbury. Unfortunately we are unable to help with the costs. The classes are very good and our previous girls have done very well, the current girl gaining a merit pass. We are a very laid back family. Our home is a happy one. Due to our work, there is no real daily routine. We will make sure our new au pair is as happy as the rest have been. do you employ domestci help: no; do you have any pets: no; pets: We would like to get some kittens soon. location: town; timetable: Varied due to shift work. salary: 70.00; duties: Care of Connor when we are both at work. Interests and hobbies: Walking. Alan likes photography. pay language course: no; will you collect aupair: yes; stationairport: Thatcham/Reading/Newbury railway stations. Heathrow/Stansted/Gatwick airports.

Will you collect aupair: certainly. We are a small family: Carsten 43, Nicole (41) and Helene (7). We are both working for a mobile software company in Tunbridge Wells, Carsten is the Chief Executive Officer and Nicole the Chief Operating Officer. Helene attends a private primary school at the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. Helene is a very happy child being interested in crafting, outdoor activities, dancing and playing. She attends school from 8.30 am to 3.40 pm. We both work full time and are usually home at 6.30 pm in the evening for the family time to start. We have a very nice cat, nicer than any you have ever seen. Helene loves the cat as do we. Besides we have a rabbit living outside in the garden. As a family we are interested in sightseeing, going out and outdoor activities. Nicole is very into gardening and Carsten likes technology. We live in Royal Tunbridge Wells, a very nice Spa town with 200.000 people outside of London. The train takes 40 minutes to London Bridge. The town has everything you need for life including theatre, movies, am college, language schools and fantastic shopping facilities. Tunbridge Wells is very popular and attracts many people. We live in a detached 6 bedroom house 5 minutes by car to the center of the town. The area is very safe and nice. Over the last couple of years we had many au pairs living with us. Some still come to visit. Helene is very used to having a newcomer in the house and encouraging. Tasks for the au pair are: picking Helene up from school by car at 3.40 pm. Therefore you must be a good driver with experience. This is essential. Driving is fairly easy here and you will use a 7 Series BMW, a very safe care. You will take her home, do home work and play with her until we are back from work at around 6.30pm. Nicole usually makes dinner and we have family time. You are almost never required in the evening. Once or twice a month you will do babysitting in the evening or weekend. Besides in the morning house work like ironing, dusting, tidying and cleaning. The Au Pair has a very nice bedroom with en suite bathroom with garden view (a fantastic big tree to look at!). Extra payment is possible, if more shores are being done like cleaning of the family bathroom, window cleaning e. g.
